HILOS: DESIGNER IN RESIDENCE
HILOS Studio’s Summer “Designer In Residence” program follows two seasoned footwear designers, Elliott Reynolds and Sarah Inyoun Park, through a six-week design sprint where they would bring their ideas to life with HILOS Studio’s 3D studio. Over this course, the designers visited some of Portland’s biggest footwear brands and creative spaces to help aid their design process. With Elliott and Sarah in the spotlight, we got to learn more about their design process, HILOS’s 3D Studio, as well as the future of 3D printing in footwear.

Throughout this program, I followed our designers and documented critical moments throughout their design process. I created six weekly recap videos to ensure consistent content and viewer engagement through the rollout of HILOS’s new 3D Studio software. All videos were shot and edited by me to be posted on HILOS socials and Youtube channel (https://www.instagram.com/hilos.studio/ and https://www.youtube.com/@hilos.studio/shorts).
Directed and filmed a long-form video capturing the overall Designer in Residence Program. This video includes a designer spotlight for our two designers, Sarah Inyoung Park and Elliott Reynolds and their trips to Portland’s footwear community such as Keen, Yin Hwa, and Lululemon. In addition, special guests such as; James Carnes, Puma’s SVP of Creative Direction; Infanit James and Zumar James from the Brooklyn collective, '“Thanks4nothing.”
To supplement our video content, I also took photos which share glimpses of our field trips, bts moments, and design process. Displayed via socials.
